Syteca can display a message to users before they’re allowed to access a Client computer - commonly used to notify them that their activity is monitored and to record their consent. It can be configured while editing a Client or Client group, or set as a default during remote installation or when generating an installation package.
The message text can be up to 10,000 characters.

Windows Clients

Enable it

1

Open the Client or Client Group

Log in to the Management Tool as a user with the Client Configuration Management permission. Click Clients, then find the Client or Client group and click its name.
2

Enable the message

On the Editing Client (or Editing Client Group) page, select the Authentication Options tab, and select Enable displaying of additional message. Optionally customize the message text (default: “According to company policy you must agree to the terms in order to continue using this computer.”).
3

Customize the message header (optional)

Select Customize message header to change the header text (default: “Please read the following important information before continuing.”).
4

Require consent (optional)

Select Require user consent to add a consent checkbox to the pop-up, with customizable text (default: “I agree to the terms of use.”). The user must select it before the Continue button lets them proceed.
5

Require a comment or ticket number (optional)

Select Require user’s comments to force the user to enter a comment before continuing. With that enabled, Require ticket number additionally requires a valid ticket number from an integrated ticketing system.
6

Set the display frequency (optional)

Under Message display frequency, choose:
  • Default (Always show) - every login.
  • Reset daily - once per user per day, until midnight.
  • Custom Interval - once per user every N hours (Repeat every (hours), 1–23).
7

Click Finish.
