When this application was used
Before Syteca 7.23, the Tray Notifications application was a separate installable component on Windows endpoints. It displayed system-tray notifications informing users of notifications about alert events on Clients. If a deployment still has legacy Tray Notifications installations, they continue to work but no longer receive updates.Install the Tray Notifications application (legacy)

Run the MSI installer
On the target Windows endpoint, launch the installer:The Setup Wizard opens.

Proceed through the Welcome page
On the Welcome page of the Setup Wizard, click Next.

Accept the End-User License Agreement
Read the End-User License Agreement carefully. Select I accept the terms in the License Agreement, then click Next.

Choose the destination folder
On the Destination Folder page, enter the installation path where the application will be installed. Click Next.

Confirm the install
Click Install to start the installation process.

Finish
When the installation completes, click Finish to close the Setup Wizard.
Uninstall the Tray Notifications application (legacy)

Run the installer

Syteca_TrayNotifications_<build_number>.msi.2
Start the Setup Wizard
Click Next on the Welcome page.

Choose Remove
On the Change, repair, or remove installation page, select Remove.

Confirm
Click Remove to confirm, then wait for uninstallation to complete.
