Before deploying Syteca Application Server, confirm that your server meets the minimum requirements for your intended deployment size. Requirements scale with the number of concurrent monitored sessions.
All figures below are minimums. For production environments, provision toward the higher end of the stated ranges to accommodate growth and peak load.

Deployment sizing

For deployments with 1,000 or more clients, install multiple Application Servers in High Availability / Load Balancing mode to avoid performance issues.

Supported databases

The following database engines are supported for on-premises deployments: Not sure which database to use? See MS SQL vs PostgreSQL for Syteca.

Storage sizing note

Storage estimates assume that one client session generates approximately 300 MB per 8-hour workday (about 37 MB per hour) at default screen capture settings. Actual usage varies by recording resolution and client type — see Client Performance and Data Volume for a full breakdown. It is recommended to store binary session data in a shared or local folder rather than inside the database.
