7.24.60 (Build 7.24.2388)

Issues Fixed:

  • macOS Endpoints - User Productivity Report: incorrect time totals in Sum/Grid view.
  • Additional Message - Hebrew localization: ‘Continue’ button stays disabled when ‘Additional Message’ parameter is enabled.
  • Endpoints - “Last User” column in Endpoints menu no longer displays sAMAccountName in v7.23.
  • Session Recording - SessionUsernameIsEmpty error on login causes missing Additional Login Message and live session.

7.24.40 (Build 7.24.2286)

Issue Fixed:

  • URL Monitoring - URLs were not being recorded in Firefox browser following the 7.23.1246 update.

7.24.30 (Build 7.24.2041)

Issue Fixed:

  • Session Recording - Video and Audio recording were significantly out of sync while playing the session via the Web Session Player / Forensic Player.

7.24.20 (Build 7.24.2040)

Issues Fixed:

  • Master Certificate Migration - Success pop-up for certificate migration incorrectly shown after a failed migration.
  • Email Sending Settings - Email notifications cannot be configured due to SMTP SSL/TLS Certificate Revocation Check failure.
  • File Upload Monitoring - After updating to v.7.23.1784, File Operations are not being displayed in the Metadata grid.

7.24.10 (Build 7.24.1954)

Issues Fixed:

  • Endpoint Access Control - ‘Bad input data. PAM seat license is required’ error appears when a user is trying to access the Endpoint Access tab.
  • Alerts - “Running steganography tools” alert falsely triggered on macOS endpoints.
  • SSO Integration - The username is incorrectly interpreted during SSO login to the Management Tool.
  • Linux Endpoints - Certain libraries (including OpenSSL) have been updated in response to reported vulnerabilities.
  • Reports - Generating Detailed Activity Grid report fails with an error.

7.24.5 (Build 7.24.1496)

Issue Fixed:

  • Using Secrets - Fixed a high-priority issue where the browser extension disappeared after updating to Chrome 150, preventing credentials from being auto-filled or manually inserted.

7.24 (Build 7.24.1430)

New Features:

  • Account Discovery - two additions:
    • Added support for discovering Windows account dependencies, including Windows Services, IIS Application Pools, and Scheduled Tasks, for Active Directory and local Windows accounts. gMSA accounts are also discovered to provide visibility into account dependencies.
    • Added the ability to configure additional Account Discovery settings directly from the Management Tool.
  • Adding Secrets - Added Heartbeat to verify the validity of stored credentials for supported secret types and identify invalid accounts.
  • Managing Secrets - Added a new Network device secret type, enabling secure access to network devices via Secrets.
  • Password Management - Added the ability to use Secrets in Linux Privileged Access Connection Manager, allowing users to view available secrets, inspect details (including access requests and checkout requirements), and initiate connections directly from the terminal. Supported for SSH and Telnet secret types.
  • Alerts - Added the ability to generate alerts based on user input in Linux terminal sessions.
  • SaaS - Added support for AIX agents in the SaaS environment.

Improvements:

  • Password Management - Redesigned the Password Management page to improve usability and overall user experience, and added support for tags to better organize and manage items.
  • SaaS - two improvements:
    • Updated Management Tool login links for existing customers as part of the transition from Ekran System to Syteca.
    • Added support for a 1-month data retention period for SaaS deployments.
  • Management Tool - Added a limit on recovery code requests. After 5 failed attempts, further requests are temporarily blocked for 5 minutes, aligning with existing login protection rules.
  • Management Tool UI - Updated translations for German (DE), Spanish (ES), Portuguese (PT), French (FR), Polish (PL), Turkish (TR), Japanese (JA), Korean (KO), Chinese (ZH) and Ukrainian (UK).
  • Session Player - Added minor UX/UI changes to improve the filtering workflow.
  • Reports - Added a notification informing users that chart reports are not supported in XML format. When XML is selected, reports are automatically generated in PDF format instead.
  • Dashboards - Updated the Work hours fields in the Sessions Outside of Work Hours widget filters to ensure they are displayed as enabled, improving UI consistency and reducing potential user confusion.
  • Endpoint Sessions - Added First Name and Last Name columns from Active Directory to improve user identification, and updated the anonymized session icon behavior.
  • Management Tool and Reports - Added support for displaying users’ Active Directory display names instead of usernames to simplify user identification.
  • Viewing Secrets - Improved search by hostname, which previously returned all hosts instead of only matching results.
  • Additional Message - Improved behavior of Additional Message on Login - when the user clicks Cancel, an additional confirmation window is now displayed instead of immediately logging off the endpoint.

Issues Fixed:

  • Syteca Connection Manager - Launching AD/Windows secrets results in an “Unknown remote connection” pop-up window.
  • Adding Secrets - two issues fixed:
    • SSO users cannot be added to secret permissions.
    • Added the ability to adjust the screen resolution when using Web Account secrets.
  • Monitoring Linux Endpoints - three issues fixed:
    • When running yq/jq on Ubuntu 22.04.5, certain preload errors are observed.
    • User activities are not recorded on Ubuntu 24.04 (Wayland).
    • Scrolling activities are not recorded in Chromium on Ubuntu.
  • macOS Endpoints - two issues fixed:
    • Some permissions are missing after remote hidden agent installation on macOS 26 using Jamf.
    • Added macOS Tahoe to the supported operating systems listed in the README file.
  • Security - Addressed issues identified during penetration testing in version 7.21.1019.0.
  • Data Migration - two issues fixed:
    • Improved performance of the data migration process when upgrading from version 7.0.855 to 7.22.279.0.
    • Optimized memory usage during migration to reduce high RAM consumption on the server endpoint.
  • Performance - two issues fixed:
    • Optimized resource consumption to improve overall system performance.
    • Fixed an issue where screen lag occurred after updating to version 7.23.120.
  • MS SQL Server - Verified compatibility with Microsoft SQL Server 2025.
  • SSO Integration - Verified compatibility with Google Workspace SSO for integration with Syteca.
  • Endpoint Sessions - two issues fixed:
    • Fixed an issue where multiple sessions started with a black screen after updating to version 7.20.1308.
    • Fixed an issue where clicking OK on the “Unlicensed Client Session” popup resulted in a black screen.
  • Application Server - two issues fixed:
    • Fixed an issue where excessive duplicate notifications appeared after updating to version 6.62 regarding simultaneous client connections with the same hostname and GUID.
    • Fixed an issue where the server failed to start properly after upgrading from 7.19 to 7.23 due to a DFS namespace issue.
  • Management Tool - Fixed issues causing login failures, increased RAM usage, and performance degradation under high concurrent agent connections, which could lead to temporary unavailability.
  • Session Player - Screenshots were not displayed in the Session Player due to being saved in the wrong folder.
  • Keystroke Logging - Korean characters were not recorded in the Microsoft Excel application.
  • Alerts - Fixed an issue where the system could hang when an alert was configured with the “Username Not Equals” condition.

Issues Fixed in the SaaS version:

  • Reports - Added support for the Linux/X Window Grid Report in the SaaS environment.
  • SaaS - Resolved stability and performance issues affecting customer instances, including frequent system performance degradation reported by SaaS customers.

Application Credentials Broker 1.4 (Build 1.4.0.247)

The Application Credentials Broker 1.4 was released alongside Syteca 7.24.

Improvements:

  • ACB - Heartbeat feature improvements.

Issues Fixed:

  • ACB - two issues fixed:
    • ‘The remote server returned an error: (500)’ error appears while trying to use the Syteca Application Credentials Broker.
    • Certain high priority bugfixes.
